Welcome to the Alpha Beta Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at UAB

The Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI or Phi Gam) was established at Jefferson College in 1848 as a Greek letter, secret, social fraternity to foster core values of Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality, and Excellence. Though fairly new with its chartering in Spring 2017, the Alpha Beta Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at UAB remains committed in recruiting the best men on campus to further these values.

There are many things that I have enjoyed about my time spent with the brothers of Fiji. One that sticks out above all else is brotherhood. It may seem like a generic answer but it is the most honest answer I can give. As college students we face many issues ranging from maintaining a good GPA to working enough to pay bills. The one support system that all the brothers can rely on is each other. It is amazing to see how far they will go to help a brother. I cannot count the amount of times brothers have stayed up all night studying for an exam, or spent talking about obstacles they may be facing. One thing I have always heard is that you find out who someone is when they are faced with adversity. It is a privilege to say that this young group of men is nothing short of excellent. They generally want to better themselves in every aspect of their lives and make an impact on the community. Upon becoming a Chapter we have earned the right to run for positions on the IFC council and have a direct impact on Greek life here at UAB. I am excited to see how much positive change these young men can bring to our university. I cannot begin to describe how proud I am to call this great group of men my brothers.
